CSABA PÁL

WINNER OF THE 46th MINI PRINT INTERNATIONAL OF CADAQUÉS, 2026

Born in 1967 in Budapest (Hungary), Csaba Pál completed his studies at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and the Hungarian College of Applied Arts, where he studied painting, applied graphics, and typography. He also participated in a postgraduate program.

His work explores the boundaries between painting, printmaking, installation, mail art, and artist’s books. His works have been featured in exhibitions across Europe, North America, Asia, and South America, including Canada, the United States, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Poland, Indonesia, and New Zealand. He regularly participates in international print biennials, miniprint exhibitions, artist’s book projects, and contemporary print exhibitions.

Throughout his career, he has received several prestigious awards, including the Gyula Derkovits Fine Arts Scholarship, the Hungarian Academy in Rome scholarship, and, in 2015, the Mihály Munkácsy Prize. His art is characterized by an experimental approach, a dialogue with materials and techniques, and the continuous renewal of visual thinking.
