Association for the Dissemination of International Graphic Arts
The non-profit association which brings together printmakers from around the world was created by Pascual Fort and a group of print enthusiasts for the purpose of informing, circulating, promoting, investigating and giving stature to everything related to original prints.
Mercedes Barberá Rusiñol, widow of Pascual Fort, with whom she organized, since 1960, various cultural activities related to the Fine Arts and specifically the Graphic Arts, is now the president of the association.
The main activity of ADOGI is the organization of the Mini Print International of Cadaqués, an annual exhibition of original prints in which the most classic and modern techniques are represented.
In order to achieve its aim, ADOGI counts on the cooperation of Taller Galeria Fort, coming from Tarragona (1960), and installed in Barcelona in 1970 as the first graphic workshop open to professional artists, and in which artists from all over the world have come to learn and practice the various printmaking techniques. The Barcelona workshop is complemented in summer with the one in Cadaqués.
The experience, knowledge and relationships acquired during so many years of work and continual professional dedication have allowed the Taller Galeria Fort to promote a series of activities such as the organization of the First International Biennial of Copy Art, and the Mini Print International of Cadaqués which has taken place every year since 1981. These and other activities have been organized with great personal effort, and with the support of the associated artists, the cooperation of the Government of Catalonia and the subsidy of the Spanish Ministry of Culture.
Though participation has always been positive, financial difficulties led to the creation of ADOGI, which accepts all those who work in or love graphic arts and pay a small annual fee. This non-profit association is the continuation of the task initiated by the Taller Galeria Fort.
All members of the association have the right to participate in the Mini Print International of Cadaqués.
